Mental   Health   Awareness  Week

This week it's Mental Health Awareness Week and we're going to be discussing a different Mental Health topic each day. Take a look below for the schedule:
  • Monday - Young People and Mental Health
    As a charity for young adult's mental health this is particularly close to our hearts. Take a look at our Twitter feed for lots of stats and resources.
  • Tuesday - Stress
    This is the main theme for the Mental Health Foundation's awareness week. We'll be joining in and discussing the effect stress can have on your mental health and what you can do to combat it. 
  • Wednesday - Depression
    This is one of the most common mental health issues that affects young people. We'll be sharing personal stories of depression and some top tips on battling it.
  • Thursday - Self-Harm
    Self-Harm is especially common with young adults and we're going to be joining in the discussion. We'll be sharing some top tips to avoid self-harm and sharing helpful resources too. 
  • Friday - Eating Disorders
    A particularly common mental health issue for young people are Eating Disorders. We'll be discussing different types of eating disorders and offering advice and resources.
  • Saturday - Suicide
    This is one of the remaining taboos surrounding mental health. We're going to be sharing personal experiences and discussing just why it remains so hard to talk about. 
  • Sunday - Anxiety
    Again, this is a hugely common mental health issue. We'll be chatting about the many kinds of anxiety and the different effects it can have. We'll also be discussing ways to handle anxiety.
